This is Mr. Mole. A name truly fitting for this strange, quirky little man. I have never had a dog quite like Mr. Mole. He is awkward and is definitely judging you every minute of everyday. He is weird, but that's what makes him so lovable and charming.<br/>Mr. Mole is that one friend you have that is super blunt, has no filter, and does not care about what you think. He's going to tell you how it is. He's going to hurt your feelings. He doesn't sugar-coat, he's all for brutal honesty. <br/>Social skills? He's never heard of them. Social awareness? Doesn't know what that is. If you need to be humbled, Mr. Mole is your guy. Thinking about texting your ex? Mr. Mole will be there with his aggressive side eye to tell you to move on and get over it. He is not quick to warm up, he is not going to immediately be your best friend. It takes him a while to truly feel comfortable in a new space and with new people. He needs someone who will allow him to take the time he needs to decompress and feel safe. He had a hard start to life. He lived outside in deplorable conditions with little exposure to humans, only surrounded by his littermates. He spent a lot of time in survival mode and never felt the comfort of a stable, safe environment. With dogs like this, it's important to have a lot of patience with them and take the time to understand them.<br/>Mr. Mole needs someone who will meet him where he's at. He's not perfect, but none of us are. Ever since bringing him home he has made a lot of progress. He will sit on my lap while I pet him, he loves to be outside and sniff around, and he loves to be around my other dogs. He is fully crate trained and enjoys the comfort of his crate. For a dog as anxious as he is, having a crate to be his safe space is very important. <br/>Mr. Mole thrives with other dogs. He snuggles with my other dogs and loves to nap with them. He also enjoys running around outside with a furry friend. Mr. Mole definitely needs to be in a home where there is at least one other dog so he can have a friend and also have someone to continue to learn from. <br/>Mr. Mole doesn't quite know how to "dog" yet, but he is learning and he is trying. He is so fun to have around the house and he is truly unlike any other dog I've had. Mr. Mole came to me traumatized and unsure about the world and while he is still anxious and unsure, he has come out of his shell a lot. Watching his personality slowly come out has been so fun to see.
