You are not just adopting a dog--you are adopting a <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/lovelab/BBQ/PhotoAlbum16.html" target="_blank">birddog family</a>!<p><br/><b> Update 06-19-06 from Betsy:</b><br/>IBR contacted me about rescuing a birddog from Louisville (KY) Metro Animal Services, so off I went to get him. Nearly all the animals in the wing where he was located were sick with Canine Influenza, including this sweet English Setter, who had also been injured immediately prior to being picked up by Animal Control (most likely hit by a car). I brought him home, named him Mr. Darcy, and nursed him back to health. <br/> <p><br/> Mr. Darcy has turned out to be a wonderful, mellow companion. He's a remarkable combination of affection and dignified. He was not housetrained when he came here, but has made splendid progress in that area along with adjusting to being in a crate when I am not home. I'm guessing he's 5 or 6 years old, looking at his teeth.
