Meet Mr. Buffy, an 8-year-old, 40-pound beagle mix with a heart as big as his appetite!<br/><br/>Mr. Buffy has perfected the art of relaxation. His favorite hobbies include sleeping in bed with his person, claiming his favorite chair for a well-earned nap, and making sure every cozy spot in the house has been properly tested. He is calm, easygoing, and happiest simply spending time with his family.<br/><br/>Don't let his laid-back personality fool you, though. The moment he steps outside, he transforms into the head of the Rabbit & Squirrel Patrol Unit. Those pesky backyard critters are always under the watchful eye and nose!<br/><br/>Walks? Mr. Buffy believes life is all about balance. A leisurely stroll around the block is plenty before he politely lets you know he is finished by dramatically flopping down and refusing to take another step. Why waste valuable energy walking when there are naps and rabbits waiting at home?<br/><br/>Mr. Buffy is house-trained, crate-trained (though he doesnt need one), and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. He regularly enjoys trips to the dog park and is good with children. While he is gentle and loving with everyone, his ideal home would be with older children who appreciate a quieter companion and are happy to share plenty of cuddle time.<br/><br/>Now...we should mention one tiny detail. Mr. Buffy is an enthusiastic foodie. If food is left unattended near the edge of the counter, he assumes it has been abandoned and will happily assist with cleanup. His personal philosophy is: Counter surfing is not stealing...it is quality control. <br/><br/>Mr. Buffy is not looking for grand adventures anymore, he's looking for a place to call home. This covers altering, DAP series vaccinations to date of adoption, Bordetella Vaccination, Rabies vaccination if over four months, Microchip, Deworming, heartworm test (if over 8 months), monthly flea/heartworm prevention to date, grooming, full veterinary examination, and temperament evaluation. <br/><br/>All SOAR dogs go through a ten-day quarantine period to ensure they are healthy, before being adopted. We do not operate on a first come first serve basis, but screen applicants in order to find the best fit for our adoptable dogs.
