Moxie - ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED's Story
Meet Moxie!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED

Moxie is living in a foster home in Massachusetts.

Moxie is a female Shepherd mix born on March 16, 2026. She weighs approximately 40 pounds and has a moderate energy level.

PERSONALITY: Moxie is a sweet, gentle puppy who is confident and playful at home. She can be shy around unfamiliar people and in new places, but she warms up with time, space, a calm approach, and treats.

AT HOME: Moxie is doing very well with house training when taken outside every few hours. She loves her crate, settles quickly, and has good house manners.

FAVORITE THINGS: Treats, stuffed animals, chew toys, spending time with her people, and playing with other dogs.

OTHER DOGS: Moxie lives with 3 dogs of different ages, sizes, and sexes. She has formed strong bonds with them and enjoys both playing and relaxing beside them.

CHILDREN: Moxie has allowed children to gently pet her at adoption events. Her response to children has been similar to her response to unfamiliar adults. She has not spent enough time with children for us to know how she would do living with them.

CATS AND SMALL ANIMALS: Cats are unknown. Moxie is afraid of chickens and will move away from them. She has seen a rabbit in the yard and showed no interest in chasing it.

WALKS: Moxie is gaining confidence on walks. Her first instinct is still to move away when someone approaches, but she settles with a gentle introduction and time to sniff. She is making steady progress.

BEST FIT: Moxie would thrive in a calmer home with a patient family that understands she needs time and space to adjust to new people and situations. Another friendly, confident dog is not required but could be a wonderful companion for her.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.

For more information:
https://buddyandfriendsma.org

To apply for adoption:
https://buddyandfriendsma.org/adopt

MA License Number: 52
