Moxie's Story

**If interested, please do not send us a message through PetFinder. Instead, please go to our website to fill out an application: www.projectpawsdogrescue.com**

Meet Moxie! Moxie is an 8 month old mixed breed puppy who came to us neglected and severely underweight—only about 9lbs when she should have been closer to 40lbs. While in rescue, she has slowly been getting healthier and putting on weight. Moxie currently weighs about 25lbs but we do not know how big she will get.

Moxie has slowly started coming out of her shell while in her foster home and is quite a spunky little lady. She is extremely sweet, but shy, and attaches to her people quickly. Her adoptive family must be willing to continue to socialize her with new people and places. This little girl is looking for a home with adults and/or older children only. Fast movements and loud sounds still make her nervous so she would not do well with small children at this time.

She loves other dogs and we think it would be beneficial for her to have a doggy sibling but it’s not a must. Moxie loves her toys and does very well at keeping herself entertained. She loves a good belly rub and is a great snuggler. She is much better with people than when she first came in but still needs calm introductions and time to warm up.

Moxie is crate trained, will sleep in it soundly through the night and is spending up to 5 hours alone at this time. She is housetrained and also pee pad trained. Moxie will be spayed, microchipped and come with her second round of DHPP along with rabies vaccine. Moxie's faecal test is all clear and she is on parasite prevention.
