Mox's Story

Mox is a 3.5 month old mutt from Yakima looking for her forever family. We do not know her breed mix but we are guessing she’ll be a compact 40-50lbs when full grown (she currently weighs around 20lbs).

Mox is a very curious pup who loves to explore. She has been doing excellent on leash and loves everyone she meets (dogs, cats, kids, everyone). She is both the perfect outdoor adventure dog and perfect city/cafe dog. After play time, a walk, or some enrichment activities, all she wants to do is snuggle in your lap or lay right at your feet. She is doing very well with potty training and crate training, sleeping through most nights for 8-9 hours.

Mox plays really well with other dogs, especially ones who want to play hard. She will do well in a home with another dog who is confident and good at setting boundaries, as Mox is still learning and may overwhelm dogs who do not know how to correct her excited puppy chaos.

Interested adopters should be prepared to work on nipping and bite inhibition, as she is a teething herding mix puppy with lots of energy to be harnessed. We think Mox will do really well with kids of any age so long as everyone is on the same page when it comes to setting Mox up for success. Thankfully she is extremely food motivated and locks into training the second food is implied. She knows the commands “sit” and “touch” really well and is working on “wait”, “look”, “down”, “leave it” and “heal”. She can often be redirected with toys (she loves to play) and we have found that one of the easiest ways to redirect her bursts of energy is recycling: Mox loves collapsing cardboard boxes and shredding them until she falls asleep on her self-made cardboard bed.

We think Mox would take really well to agility sports and/or higher skilled training tasks.

Fill out an adoption application at https://forms.gle/ZvvQobuhgmkU5AJEA if you'd like to meet Mox!

=================================================

***WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER INQUIRIES OR PHONE CALLS, ONLY EMAILS.***

If you have any additional questions, or would like to adopt a pup, send us an email at adoptions@rhas.love and we will send you an adopter survey. Please note that we are a foster to adopt only rescue. As a foster, you get to "test drive" your chosen dog to make sure it's a good fit prior to adoption.
