Mousey's Story

Meet the "happy girl" everyone's talking about! Around her condo building, she's known for her joyful spirit, think that "hap, hap, happy dog" song brought to life. While her exact breed is a mystery, her foster likes to say she's 100% Love with a mix of Teddy Bear snuggles, Tigger-like bounce, Snoopy curiosity, and reindeer zoomies. She's the kind of pup who brightens every room and quickly becomes everyone's best friend.

She adores people (kid-tested and approved!) and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Cuddling is one of her favorite pastimes, but she's just as happy chasing squeaky toys or zooming around with excitement. She rarely barks, shows affection with sweet kisses, and loves being close to her humans-whether that's lounging on the couch or snuggled up in bed. She knows basic commands like "sit," "wait," and "walk," and is eager to keep learning.

This happy pup enjoys exploring the outdoors and would love an active home where she can go on walks, runs, or adventures. She's food-motivated (treats, fruits, veggies-you name it!) and does well with puzzle toys and even taking medicine. Like any young dog, she's still working on a few things-house training consistency, keeping all four paws on the ground when excited, and learning fetch-but she's a quick learner with so much love to give.

Quick stats!
--Dogs: does well with dogs
--Cats: has not been introduced to cats
--Children: does well with children
--Likes: squeaky toys, cuddle time, meeting new friends, outdoor adventures, tasty treats, puzzle toys, and being right by your side

If Mousey sounds like the right fit for your home, fill out an adoption application today! muttsofthemidway.org/adopt

Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
