Morticia's Story

💔 MEET A MAMA WHO GAVE EVERYTHING SHE HAD 💔

Sometimes a dog comes through our doors and you look at her and think, "Oh, sweetheart... what have you been through?"

This beautiful girl is a mama of four. When she arrived at the shelter, her poor body told a story she couldn't tell us herself. She was eaten alive with fleas, her skin irritated and her coat terribly thin.

But underneath all of that neglect was something that hadn't been taken from her...

Her sweet, loving heart. ❤️

She spent her time being a mama. Now, for perhaps the first time in a very long time, it's finally her turn to be taken care of.

The fleas are gone. She's receiving the care she needs, and every day we're watching her take another little step toward becoming the beautiful girl she was always meant to be. Her hair will grow back. Her skin will heal. Her body will recover.

But there's one thing medicine can't give her...

A family. 🥺

She deserves to know what it's like to sleep on a soft bed instead of worrying about surviving another day. She deserves a full belly, gentle hands, silly nicknames, toys scattered around the house and someone who tells her "You're home now" and actually means forever.

Don't look at her and see the hair she's missing.

Look at the life she's waiting to have.

One day, this mama is going to have a beautiful coat again. And we hope when that day comes, she's curled up on someone's couch, spoiled absolutely rotten, barely remembering the life she had before.

She took care of her babies.

Now we're looking for someone willing to take care of Mama. ❤️🐾

Please share her story. Somewhere out there is the person who will look at this picture and see exactly what we see:

A beautiful girl who survived the hard part and deserves nothing but love from here on out. ❤️‍🩹🏡Thank you for taking the time to look at our precious "pound puppies" If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at 730-272-1071. We would love to help connect you with your new best friend.
