Meet Morris! He is currently in a foster home. Contact email at end of his bio. <br/><br/>Morris is a very sweet, goofy, loving, affectionate, and curious bully breed mix . He can be a little nervous around some new things and people, but with time and consistency he thrives <br/><br/>Morris came to us severely injured. He made a full recovery with the care of the dedicated staff and volunteers at the shelter, and now is comfortably waiting in a foster home to have his neuter surgery which is scheduled soon. The vets also plan to check out his teeth during surgery because when he came to us we noted some missing/ broken teeth. This doesn’t seem to bother Morris- he eats kibble and plays with toys and bones like any other dog!<br/><br/>Quick facts about Morris <br/>1. excellent in crate both day and night <br/>2. Knows sit and down. Working on place. He is a quick study!<br/>3. Enthusiastic about his toys. He can jump like an NBA player and runs like Ray Davis to fetch! He can also catch! He is learning how important it is to sit and wait for permission to have his toy and catching on quick<br/>4. Mostly potty trained -no poop accidents in house. He will mark occasionally but it seems mostly to be on items that are new /different or if he is stressed. We are hopeful neutering will help. This has improved tremendously in his foster home <br/>5. Trained to stay off furniture (although an adorable sneak attack with one paw at a time and a not so subtle slither is occasionally attempted )<br/>6. Great walking partner- happy to do 2 miles with his people. <br/><br/>Morris has passed his assessment with other dogs and shows appropriate interest in them on walks. We are recommending slow introductions to other pups due to how he came in, as it’s possible his injuries were from another dog. Cats are unknown at this time. Both breed and Age DNA tests are pending for Morris - we expect results by the end of September!<br/><br/>Morris is really thriving in his foster home. We are looking for a home willing to continue to show up for him.
