You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello humans,<br/><br/>The name is Mooshu (not the dragon) and I am only 10 years old (not hundreds of years old like my namesake). I am a legend in my own right with a bit of a sadder story. When I was a puppy, I was well-loved by my owner but was not given any boundaries or properly trained. I got to do what I wanted and when I wanted. My owner was a foster parent and had kids in and out of the home quite a lot, which overwhelmed me and now I am not comfortable with being in a house with several people. My ideal home would only have one human, preferably a female. Since I can be overwhelmed and uncomfortable with several humans sharing the same space as me, I would prefer to have a safe space I can go to while my future owner has company. Maybe my safe space can be in your room in a nice comfortable fancy crate. I would also prefer to have a home where I don't have to share with another animal. My first owner didn't socialize me with other dogs so I don't have the appropriate social skills to share a home with another animal.<br/><br/>I can be a little picky of humans I can trust as my life started out pretty hectic and I really just preferred my owner and no one else. I am the kind of dog, where I would need some date nights with my potential adopter so I know they will be a good person to me. I believe that would make the CARA staff more comfortable knowing I've spent some time with my future owner before going home with them. While pondering what kind of person I would like to be my adopter, I think I would like to have a single female who is laid back and has a calm personality and doesn't mind spending evenings with me. One way to win me over is treating me with some delicious pieces of hot dogs! I will be waiting to schedule those date nights with you!<br/><br/>* Special information regarding adopting Puppies *<br/><br/>Our adoption fees are:<br/><br/>* Altered Dogs older than 1 year old $250<br/><br/>* Altered Dogs between 6 months to a year $275<br/><br/>* Puppies under 6 months who have not been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption - $235 plus S/N<br/><br/>Deposit: $ 100<br/><br/>Our policy is that all adopted<br/><br/>animals<br/><br/>must be spayed or neutered<br/><br/>before leaving the premises. If at<br/><br/>any<br/><br/>time<br/><br/>an<br/><br/>animal<br/><br/>under the age of<br/>6<br/>months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and<br/><br/>agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter<br/><br/>agrees to have the<br/><br/>animal<br/><br/>being adopted spayed/neutered by a<br/><br/>veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this<br/><br/>contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This<br/><br/>deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter<br/><br/>contract. All cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS (FIV) and Leukemia (FeLV).
