Moose's Story

Meet Moose!! Moose is a 5 year old full blooded Shih-tzu who got his name honestly because he is a chunky, but stocky little ball of fluff ! Moose came to our rescue from a pretty rough situation with a breeder, who was only letting him out of his cage for breeding and that is it, so it is taking him a little bit to learn how to be social and learn that he could trust humans! Now that he is beginning to learn to trust that humans are not so bad after all, he is turning in to a somewhat cuddly little fella! He is still a little shy, and needs his new owner to be patient with him and understand that he came from a terrible situation and just needs to be given some time to thrive and trust! He has no aggressions at all and gets along with all of the other dogs in the rescue and plays very well with any newbies that come in! He had never been walked on a leash, but we are working on that daily and he has begun to pick up on it fairly quickly! He is now neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and fully vetted! If interested in giving little Moose the loving home, love and patience that he deserves, please visit Richardsonrescue.org to fill out an adoption application so this cute little guy can have the home and family that he has deserved all along!
