Moose 's Story
Moose is a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart! Despite his impressive size, Moose is truly a gentle giant who loves nothing more than being close to his people. Since joining the Serendipity pack, he’s easily made lots of friends, and it didn’t take us long to fall in love with him. At 5 years old, he has a calm, laid-back personality and takes most things in stride, making him a wonderful companion to have around the house.

Moose already knows his basic obedience commands and is crate-trained. When you say “kennel,” he happily heads to his crate, where he sleeps at night and often chooses to relax during the day. He’s not a high-energy dog and enjoys a slower pace of life. At 100 pounds, Moose can be challenging to handle on a leash, so he will require a strong human or, better yet, a fenced-in yard. He rides fine in the car too—though he may voice a few opinions with some whining along the way.

Moose came to us through no fault of his own. His family had to make the difficult decision to surrender him due to their children’s allergies. He has been loved and cared for by the same family since he was just 12 weeks old. Moose has grown up around kids, cats, and other dogs and does well with all of them, though very high-energy children can make him a bit nervous.

Moose is a simple guy who doesn’t ask for much. His favorite thing in the world is simply being near his human. His previous owner described him as an “old soul,” and sometimes he even shows a little grumpy old man charm. Moose will be happiest in a home where he can spend plenty of time close to his people and enjoy a calm, loving environment.

Moose does best on a salmon-based diet, as other foods can trigger his allergies. When seasonal allergies flare up, over-the-counter antihistamines help keep him comfortable. Like many dogs, Moose isn’t a fan of loud noises such as fireworks or thunderstorms.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love, Moose may be the perfect match for you!

-------------------
Our Adoption Fees:
-------------------

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450

* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400

* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program!
