Moose's Story

Looking for the perfect combination of playful and sweet? Look no further!

Meet Moose, a 1 year old male Mini Australian Shepherd who is goofy, loving, and on the submissive side.

Not only are you adopting a companion, you're adopting a wiggle butt who does the best hula dance when he's excited. What makes him so excited? Literally everyone: despite being a shy, neglected puppy mill survivor, Moose always goes out of his way to meet strangers and make new friends. This loving boy doesn't have a mean bone in his body: when he's nervous, he'll submissively show you his belly or sneak in little drive-by kisses.

He loves zooming around with other dogs, and being around other dogs gives him confidence to further come out of his shell. He would love a backyard to zip around in. He has not been tested with cats or young children, but would be fine with mature, quieter kids who understand he needs a calmer home to feel safe in. He was saved from a puppy mill with 420+ dogs, and has to continue building confidence.

He does have on-again-off-again stomach problems, likely stemming from his anxiety, so a patient home willing to work through his decompression is needed. He is worth the work and your love will be repaid 10 fold.

If you think Moose is a match for you, please apply via our website herdinghomerescue.com/adopt

We do adopt out of state, with transport at adopter's expense. We only accept applications via our website and will not see inquiries made directly through Petfinder.
