Moose's Story
Ever seen a Flat-coated Retriever before? Well now you have -- meet adoptable Moose!

2-year-old Moose came to the shelter as a stray, so we can't be 100% sure of his pedigree, but we think this beautiful pup may be a Flat-coated Retriever, a breed of hunting dog from England. Moose sure fits the breed standard -- a lustrous black fur coat and a smart, energetic, and oh-so-friendly personality. Moose loves going on walks, playing fetch (he is a retriever, of course!), and demanding butt scratches. Moose is non-reactive, though he does seem eager to meet other dogs on walks.

At 56-pounds, Moose is a big boy and a puppy at heart and he's already mastered sit and house-training!

If you're interested in adopting majestic Moose, please email animalservices@greenbeltmd.gov or call 301-474-6124 for more information.
