Moose's Story

Meet Moose!

Moose is a gentle giant who loves nothing more than being a couch potato and soaking up love from anyone willing to give it. He is happiest when snuggled up with his people, and for Moose, affection is the ultimate reward-he'll gladly trade treats or toys for your attention.

When Moose first arrived, he struggled with severe separation anxiety. Thanks to dedicated training and time to build confidence, he has made incredible progress. Now, if left alone, he may bark for a short time but quickly settles within minutes. He continues to improve and will thrive with a patient family who can provide him with consistency and reassurance.

Moose has completed three months of board-and-train at Pawsitive Dog Training School, where he became fully e-collar and muzzle conditioned and learned many useful commands. He does best in shorter training sessions (15-20 minutes) but is attentive, eager to please, and listens well.

Because of his size and history, Moose will need to be the only dog in the home. While he's worked hard in training, he can still be reactive toward high-energy dogs. That said, he has never shown aggression toward people-he is nothing but sweet, goofy, and loving with everyone he meets.

To set Moose and his new family up for success, his adoption comes with lifetime training sessions through his trainers, and all adopters will be required to attend transition lessons with them. We are seeking a home within 2-3 hours of Bellingham so he can continue his training program smoothly.

Moose is ready to be someone's loyal, oversized snuggle buddy and would love nothing more than to curl up as your giant couch potato.

To adopt Moose, please apply at happytailshappyhomes.org.
