Moose's Story

Moose is a fun-loving, people-oriented pup who wants to be by your side at all times. He is 50 to 55lbs and born around December 8, 2025.

Moose bonds deeply with his person and becomes a true shadow once that connection is formed. This handsome boy is incredibly smart and picks up on commands quickly, especially when training is consistent and expectations are clear. With the right structure and a confident, steady leader, Moose will thrive and become an amazing lifelong companion. He responds best to leadership that is earned through trust and consistency.

Moose is a mix of two highly intelligent working breeds, the Labrador Retriever and the Border Collie, and he definitely shows those traits. He loves long walks, interactive play, and anything involving toys or food. He is very driven by rewards and loves having things to do. He also has some herding instincts, which can come out in his behavior, along with moments of excitement where he may jump or display humping behaviors, so continued training, redirection, and structure will be important for him as he matures.

Moose can be fear reactive at times in certain situations, so he will do best with an experienced, confident handler who can help him feel secure and advocate for him in new environments. Once he trusts his person, he settles in and responds very well to direction, but he does need someone willing to guide him through uncertainty with patience and leadership.

Due to his size, enthusiasm, and developing manners, Moose would do best in a home with children 8+ who can respect his training needs. He will benefit from continued socialization, mental stimulation, and consistent outlets for both his physical and mental energy. When his needs are met, he also enjoys downtime and cuddles with his people.

Moose is a big-hearted, intelligent, and loyal pup who is looking for a home that understands working-dog brains and is ready to invest in his training and confidence.

Apply to adopt: www.puppypawsrescue.org
