Moon Pie's Story

Meet Moon Pie

2 Years Old | 80 lbs | Spayed | UTD on Vaccines | House Trained

Moon Pie is an 80-pound athlete wrapped in pure affection. She will be two years old on June 27 and is a Boxer × Hanging Tree mix — which means brains, drive, and heart in one powerful package.

Her story began with resilience. She survived a severe back injury after being trapped under a pallet. A veterinarian stepped in, treated the wound, and gave her the second chance she deserved. You’ll see the scar — it’s part of her story, not a limitation.

Moon Pie is deeply people-oriented. She believes she is a lap dog. She thrives on connection, attention, and having “her person.”

Temperament & Home Needs

* Loves people
* High energy, working-dog drive
* House trained
* Spayed (September 11)
* Up to date on vaccinations

She does well with a small dog in her current home, but she has had conflict with a similarly sized, high-energy dog. For everyone’s safety and success, we are recommending:

✔ An only-dog home, or
✔ A home with a calm, opposite-sex dog after proper introduction
✔ Experienced handler preferred
✔ Secure fencing required
✔ Active lifestyle strongly encouraged

This is not a couch-potato dog. Moon Pie will excel with structure, exercise, and clear leadership. Think hiking partner, property companion, training enthusiast, or someone who understands working-line energy.

She is not aggressive toward people. She is powerful, athletic, and needs management that matches her drive.

Ideal Home

Someone who:

* Appreciates strong, smart dogs
* Understands arousal management
* Provides daily mental and physical outlets
* Wants a loyal, affectionate companion

Moon Pie isn’t difficult — she’s driven. There’s a difference.
