Mookie's Story

Mookie
Breed: Puggle
Estimated Adult Weight: 35 pounds
Current Weight: 15 pounds
Birthday: 12/12/25
Mookie’s story starts a little rough, but don’t let that fool you, she’s all sunshine now. After being abandoned at a dog sitter’s home, she came into our care and, within just 48 hours, became very sick. She was diagnosed with parvo, but this tiny warrior had other plans. After a short hospital stay, Mookie fought her way through and made a full recovery. Tough as nails and twice as sweet, she’s now ready to find the forever home she’s been waiting for.
This vibrant little lady is pure joy in a compact, wiggly package. She thrives on affection, lives for snack time, and treats every toy like it’s the best thing she’s ever seen. Mookie absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a canine buddy to romp around with. She’s also making great progress with crate training and is well on her way with potty training, she just needs a family willing to keep cheering her on.
Mookie is full of personality and energy, the kind of pup who wants to be part of everything you do. She’ll do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches, whether that’s with another dog or an active human who’s ready for a built-in adventure partner.
If you’re looking for a resilient, playful, and loving pup who has already proven she’s a fighter, Mookie might just be your perfect match.
Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041

We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond.

Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please note all animals in the home must be altered, up to date on vaccines, and be on heartworm prevention. We understand there are some special cases and will take those into consideration.
