Meet Monty <br/><br/>Monty is a 2-year-old Border Collie who came to us as a stray from San Joaquin County, California — and he is about as sweet as they come Handsome, tall, and around 40+ lbs, Monty turns heads wherever he goes.<br/><br/>This boy adores his people and bonds deeply. Once you're “his person,” he'll happily stick by your side like a loyal shadow He does well with most other dogs when introduced properly and especially enjoys the company of female dogs. Monty has been getting along great with his foster brothers and sisters and would likely thrive with a confident canine buddy to show him the ropes <br/><br/>Monty loves walks, hikes, and anything active — he'd make a fantastic companion for someone with property or an outdoorsy lifestyle But he also has a wonderful “off switch” once his exercise needs are met and is perfectly happy to relax near his humans <br/><br/>Because he may not have had much structure or socialization early in life, Monty is experiencing lots of “firsts” in rescue.
