Monty's Story
? COURTESY POST ?
Monty is way too big, friendly, well-behaved, young, healthy, nice and normal to be a Second Chance dog, but he still needs your help to find a home!
This gentle 75lbs giant is currently boarding at a local vet’s office where he’s deeply loved by the staff. He’s been a productive co-worker and has been put to work during his stay- working reception greeting clients with a smile ?, and just laying at staff’s feet calmly as they are updating medical records. His customer service skills and work ethic are unmatched ? But he deserves to be able to clock out and go to a real home after doing such a great job!
He knows some commands and tricks, loves everyone person he’s met there including hanging out with the staff’s kids, is well-housebroken and not destructive. He has been a perfect houseguest on some overnights with a staff member- well mannered and just sleeps all night curled up in his bed. He’s 2-3 years old, neutered, updated on shots, and has been thoroughly vet-checked and is beyond ready for a home.
Monty doesn’t seem to have had much socialization around other animals, and while he can mind his manners and walk past them calmly ignoring them, he would probably be best as an only pet at this point. He is a big strong guy but listens well and would be even better with some training and finishing touches on his leash skills. But otherwise he’s pretty much perfect already, a move-in-ready best friend! ?? ? ?
*Monty is not being adopted out through our rescue*. Please contact his guardian angel Noelle at 732-320-1857 or noellelogiudice@gmail.com for adoption details and an appointment to meet him in Morris Plains, NJ!
Please help share this handsome guy to find his forever home
