Monteray's Story

Meet the Magnificent Monteray!
Looking for a loyal, lively companion with a big personality? Monteray, a handsome, 60-pound charmer with an estimated age of 2-3 years old! This guy is the total package: smart, playful, and incredibly affectionate toward people. He may have some herding dog in him, as he's competitive and loves to show off his herding ball skills for an audience. He's an expressive boy who "talks" to you, making every day more interesting!
When guests arrive, he insists they watch his grand performance with his favorite toys in the backyard - He is a true showman!
Monteray enjoys going for car rides and walks. He walks well on a gentle leader. He is completely house-trained and crate-trained. He also has excellent manners in the house and doesn't chew on anything that isn't his toy or bone.
He eats in his crate because he's like a vacuum and will eat anything edible within his reach. Monteray is a strong alpha male who will thrive with clear guidance and an active partner who appreciates his strong, competitive personality. He currently plays well with the resident dog in his foster home. When new fosters come to stay at the house, he does need a warmup period but has accepted every foster that has stayed with his foster family.
No cats please since he thinks they are toys and wants to catch and play with them (just too rough). Monteray has a huge heart and so much love to give. If you're looking for a devoted, entertaining, and smart companion, Monteray is your guy!
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
