Meet Monte Cristo — Part of the Sandwich Litter! Meet Monte Cristo, one of the adorable puppies from the Sandwich Litter! Monte is a sweet, slightly shy boy who is happiest when he knows his people are nearby. While he may not be the first puppy to run off and explore, he loves staying close to his foster family and takes comfort in having his people nearby. Monte can be a little cautious when meeting someone new, so his forever family will need to give him some time to settle in and feel comfortable. Slow introductions, patience, and allowing him to come around at his own pace will be important. Once he feels safe and knows he can trust you, we’re sure his sweet personality will continue to shine. Monte is doing great with his nighttime routine! He sleeps in a kennel with his littermate and usually takes about 10 minutes to settle down before he’s ready for puppy dreams. Even better, he is potty trained through the night! During the day, Monte is still working on becoming completely house-trained. He has a good start, but he is still a puppy and has plenty to learn. His new family will need to continue working with him using patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. Monte may be a little more reserved at first, but sometimes the quieter puppies have the sweetest way of finding their place in your heart.
