Monte will be at Open House on Saturday, July 25, 10-noon and on Monday, July 27, 3-5 pm at 106 Adams St, Medfield, MA. All are welcome at Open House, but approved applicants have priority for adoption. He's almost 6 months old and weighs about 30 pounds. He looks like shepherd mix, with long hair. <br/><br/>Monte is in a foster home in MA, and we're hearing great things about this sweet boy. "Overall a brilliant dog". A fun loving and active guy, who will plop down anywhere to be near the people of the house or find a perch to watch the outdoors, hanging out with the old dog on the porch. He loves attention and belly rubs. He responds to his name, is housebroken and smart. He has long legs, and can be a bit comical when he runs and navigates stairs. Monte gets along great with the grumpy old dog, and loves to play with the puppy. He's happy, friendly, and a bit of a goof- guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. <br/><br/>Monte will thrive with a family who have plenty of time, love, and patience to give. He is looking for a home where he can be active, included, and truly part of the family. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area.<br/><br/>If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.<br/><br/>All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.<br/>Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.<br/>Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.<br/><br/>Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.<br/>Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors.<br/>Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.<br/><br/>Also, please note our open houses which occur most every week at foreverhomerescue.org. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
