Monroe's Story

Sweet little Monroe has been returned to us thru no fault of his own. He’s a 3 year old podenco mix from Spain & is super sweet, snuggly, & loves to snuggle under blankets. He’s crate trained & loves to play fetch. He’s also totally house trained & is good with kids & other dogs. It’s unknown at this time how he would be with cats. He’s currently in Ohio but can travel for the right family. Fill out an application to add him to your family!

Senior Sighthound Sanctuary, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

All applications are screened by the Director to determine if the adopter may be a potential family for the dog. We act on behalf of the dog & the dogs in our care will need an extra special family, considering their age and/or medical condition. Once the applicant is determined to be a potential match, a volunteer will process the application, to include contacting the applicant, contacting their references, contacting their landlord (when applicable), & contacting their vet, if they currently have any pets. After the application is processed, the Director contacts the applicant to discuss the dog's needs & will arrange a meeting with the entire family & any current pets.
