Our Mission
Our mission is to give senior and special needs sighthounds a safe, comfortable , & loving home whether it’s with an adopter, a forever foster, or at the sanctuary where they’re cared for the rest of their lives, including those with challenging medical conditions. Their time with us is so much more important than our time with them, which is why we do what we do!
Adoption Policy
All applications are screened by the Director to determine if the adopter may be a potential family for the dog. We act on behalf of the dog & the dogs in our care will need an extra special family, considering their age and/or medical condition. Once the applicant is determined to be a potential match, a volunteer will process the application, to include contacting the applicant, contacting their references, contacting their landlord (when applicable), & contacting their vet, if they currently have any pets. After the application is processed, the Director contacts the applicant to discuss the dog's needs & will arrange a meeting with the entire family & any current pets.
