Mona's Story

Searching for a tiny ball of scruff to brighten your day just by looking at all that cuteness? Look no further than Mona!Mona came to us as a very scared, semi-feral pup, but she has grown so much thanks to all the love she is receiving in her foster home. She is improving every day with potty training, actively choosing to go outside or use her pee pads, and she loves the company of her other small dog foster sibling. Once she feels safe and warms up, she will ask for pets and cuddles, but she is also very happy to spend time on her own. Mona requires a home with at least one other dog and a fenced yard. She is not leash trained nor comfortable on her own without other doggies around. Mona is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Her adoption fee is $250 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
