Mona's Story

Meet Mona!

Mona joined our rescue at the beginning of this year and is continuing to break little walls down each day.

Mona was originally found as a stray roaming around a reservation area. She was trapped by HARTT and then taken to the Arizona Human Society. Mona was shut down and fearful, quickly finding her life at-risk of euthanasia. We knew she was just unsure, scared and needed someone to see her potential.

Mona is shy of meeting new people at first, but with someone who's understanding and can be patient she will thrive in a forever home. Over the last few months, she's began to open up and let her walls down. She has learned to walk on leash and makes a great walking companion. Mona has discovered the world of toys and is obsessed! She loves playing in the yard with her sister Anya and they engage in play together and independently.

Mona needs a calm, patient home that will allow her to decompress. She needs time and space to build her trust with her new family. Mona would benefit from confident handlers that will continue to teach her the basics and build her confidence. She's dog-friendly with proper introductions.

If you're patient and have a loving, comforting home, apply to meet Mona!
