Molly's Story
Now ready for adoption!

Molly is a 6 year old Golden Retriever who we took back into our rescue. She was found to have a large mass in her mouth that came back as melanoma. Since she is only 6, we plan to did as much as possible to give her many more years as a happy girl.

Molly had the mass removed on October 22nd. Unfortunately on Halloween, Molly had another--this time an emergency surgery where her lymph node was removed. This area filled up with fluid and kept filling up until her breathing was effected. She had a temperature of 106 upon arrival and had a drain put in while there. She got much better after this surgery.

She saw the oncologist November 12th had four rounds of chemo, which gave her the best chance for the future. She is now deemed in remission. and got her "Kicking Cancer's Tail". She is now ready for adoption. Those planning on adopting need to understand, she will follow up with oncology every 3 months for a year, then every 6 months step down. At these appointments, she will have testing and a chest x-ray done. Every six months she will have a booster vaccine for three treatments.

Our adoption team will go over medical care with the potential adopters.

We are currently raising funds to cover her medical bills to date of $14,837.06.
Please,, please, please consider making a donation to help our non-profit here:
https://www.paypal.com/donate?campaign_id=AKDVETWD87JGS

Molly is a happy girl that enjoys being with other dogs.
