She was previously in a very poor situation in Arkansas and came to us in rough shape — very dirty, with old wounds from fly strike on her ears, and appearing to have had several litters of puppies. Based on her condition and history, it is likely she was used as a breeder dog for GSP puppies and discarded when she was no longer wanted.

Despite everything she has been through, Molly is incredibly sweet, gentle, and resilient.

Molly is listed as 4 years old on her paperwork and weighs about 50 pounds. She is heartworm negative and spayed.

She is on the medium to low-energy side and has a calm, easygoing temperament. Molly is extremely loyal to her people and forms strong bonds. If you like pointers, but don't want crazy pointer energy- Molly is your girl. She enjoys walks, running around the yard, going to the horse farm with her foster, and car rides, but she is past the overactive puppy energy that comes with the pointer breed.

She doesn't jump, walks well on the leash, is good off leash, does great at meet and greets with other dogs, and is doing great with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. She likes going shopping at Farm and Fleet and TJMax. She does well on outings and in public, not leash reactive. She also loves puppies since she was likely a mama a few times in her life.

Molly is potty trained, crate trained, though her foster has been leaving her out of the crate when she leaves. She knows to ring the bell at the door when she needs to go outside. She settles nicely in her crate when needed and has wonderful house manners.

Molly came to us heartworm positive and will be done with her treatment in April If you are considering adopting, we can do a Foster-to-Adopt period while she finishes her heartworm treatment. Molly truly is a great dog and deserves an awesome home. Her ideal forever home would be a family with kids, someone active that likes to walk, hike or talk her with on outings, or on a farm.

Age: about 4 years
Gender: Female
Weight: 50 lbs
Breed: Pointer mix (best guess)
Spayed: Yes
Potty Trained: Yes (uses bell at door)
Crate Trained: Yes
Leash Manners: Good
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes
Good with Kids: yes

Molly doesn’t need perfection — she needs stability, patience, and a family who will never give up on her again. In return, she will offer loyalty, affection, and steady companionship.
