Life hasn't always been kind to me, but I'm hopeful that my perfect family is out there, ready to show me what love and patience really feel like.<br/><br/>I had a rough start in life. I was found abandoned near a highway with my puppies, just trying to survive. Animal control picked us up, and I spent almost a year at their shelter before being transferred here to get a fresh start. Because of everything I've been through, I'm a very shy girl with some trust issues--but once I get to know you, I'll become one of the most loving, loyal, and protective companions you could ever ask for.<br/><br/>I absolutely love other dogs and feel most confident when I have furry friends around. If you already have dogs at home, I'd love to meet them! I'm highly intelligent and would thrive with consistent training to help build my confidence. I already know how to use a doggie door and always prefer to do my business outside--I'm a polite lady, after all.<br/><br/>I walk well on a leash and enjoy getting out for strolls. I also ride well in a car, though I may need a little help loading up at first--once I'm in, I settle nicely for the ride. I also do very well in a crate, where I can have a quiet space of my own to relax and feel safe.<br/><br/>I'm searching for a patient, understanding family who will give me the time I need to come out of my shell.
