Molly's Story

My name is Molly.

I am almost 3 years old and a 130 lb. Komondor. Being a Komondor means I should look like a big mop! But that coat takes a lot of work, and I am perfectly happy being trimmed like this. Added bonus - I don't shed! Since I was 12 weeks old, I lived with my big brother (another Komomdor) and my dad (who unfortunately lost his battle with cancer landing both dogs in the shelter). I was a full-time house dog but also loved romping and playing on the farm with my big brother and Dad. Since I have been with my foster parents, I have proven what a good girl I am in the house - even if I'm left alone! I love hanging out and snuggling with my foster mom. But when my foster dad comes home, I really light up! If he is sitting in a chair, I need to sleep on his feet. If he sits on the floor, even better! I love showing him that being 130 lbs. does not keep me from being a lap dog! I have excellent manners on leash and love long walks. I am definitely a follower and not a leader and can feel unsure about new things (like crates) ...but I try SO HARD to be brave! I just need your love, patience and support to help me build my confidence! I am such a good girl, but I'm still trying to figure out what happened to my life and how I ended up here! I have a silly, endearing sense of humor, and SO much love to give! Next week, I start classes to help me learn new skillls! I would love to find a forever home that will love me, help me build my confidence, and have lots of room for me - inside and out!

~If you have room in your home, yard and heart for this gentle giant, fill out an application at www.homewardboundwaggininc.org
