She loves a good snuggle and is happy to sleep on the couch or whatever soft surface near the people she loves. She is pretty good on leash and just needs a small corrections when she gets excited to keep her right at your side. Molly has some prey-drive and loves to chase birds and squirrels so a fenced yard would be a must.

<span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-CA; mso-fareast-language: EN-CA; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">She would also feel more secure in a home where there is a regular routine - she is not fond of staying alone at home for any great length of time and we'd prefer to find a home for her where someone is home most of the time. She is currently being fostered with a very rambunctious Labrador Retriever and at first, did not appreciate her antics but has learned to love her! She prefers quieter, more settled dogs over younger, busier dogs and she would probably also do well as a single dog. She still needs some patience and gentle handling to help her get through some of her insecurities and anxieties but she is coming along and learning to trust!

<span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-CA; mso-fareast-language: EN-CA; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Molly is being fostered in Waterdown, Ontario.

<span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-CA; mso-fareast-language: EN-CA; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">***************************************************Our program has recently took in 12 adult Weimaraner X Labs who were part of a Puppy mill seizure in Ontario. All dogs are located in various foster homes throughout Ontario.

Although not properly socialized as puppies and living largely outdoors in pens with several other dogs, these survivors are all proving to be quite social with people and other dogs. They are a bit shy and fearful of new situations/people at first but are making great progress. They are incredibly sweet and want to be with their trusted caregivers as much as possible. They do build trust quickly when given the time and proper direction in order to feel secure but require patience and understanding when they encounter new things. They all seem to be very intelligent and loving. They love the outdoors and their fears seem to lessen when they are out running in the fields. They also seem to have an affinity for children and women and are quite gentle but do need to learn about manners such as not jumping up on people or counters!

They will be adoptable when they are spayed/neutered and their foster families feel that they have progressed enough to move on to their forever homes. Each dog is different so adoptions will be based on each individual dog's progress.

Our program works by adoption process which starts with our completed application. A volunteer will meet with you whenever possible and help us decide if a particular dog is a good fit for your family.

Please contact Liette Fadden - National Rescue coordinator for an application or if you want more info on a particular dog. wacrescue@execulink.com
