Adoption Policy

** Rescue dogs can be located throughout Canada - please do not assume the dogs in our program are in one locale. ** Please visit our website, wacrescue.com, for more information to help research our breed before considering adopting a Weimaraner. Many dogs come into our program because they were not a good match for that particular family or because of a change in family circumstances such as illness or divorce. Our goal is to place dogs in need with a home that understands their requirements and will become their Forever Home. The process begins with the completion of our application which can be found on our website or email rescue@wacrescue.com. Once we have a completed application, we try to match applicants with dogs as they become available. It is not a "first-come, first-serve" program - we take into account the dog's needs and the applicant's home circumstances. Some dogs don't make it to our website because we have applicants on file. That's why it is VERY IMPORTANT to submit a completed application...you never know when a dog will become available!
