Moira's Story

Calling the "One-and-Only" Family! 🐾
The Mission: We are searching for a very specific hero for a dog who has been overlooked for 660 days. Meet Moira.
Moira is a 53lb Cattle Dog mix who is essentially a professional cuddler trapped in an athlete's body. She has been at the rescue for a year and a half, watching others go home while she waits for a family who is okay with being her entire world.
🕵️ We are looking for "The Moira Match." Are you:
The "Solo-Pet" Specialist? You don't have other dogs or cats, and you're perfectly happy with that. You want one devoted companion to give 100% of your love to.
The Fenced-Yard Fanatic? You have a secure spot where Moira can zoom, play fetch, and burn off that Cattle Dog energy without the stress of neighborhood dogs.
The People Person? You love a dog that actually likes your friends and kids. Moira is a social butterfly with humans--she just wants to be your best friend.
🌟 Why Moira is worth the wait:
Human-Obsessed: Unlike many reactive dogs, Moira adores people. Kids, adults, strangers--she's ready to give them all the cuddles.
Adventure Ready: She is a dream in the car. Whether it's a trip to a private hiking trail or a drive-thru for a pup cup, she's the perfect co-pilot.
The Basics are There: She's crate-trained and knows her basic commands. She just needs a "coach" to help her polish her house manners and show her the ropes of indoor life.
The Reality: Moira is reactive to other animals. This is why she's been passed over. But for a family that doesn't have other pets, this "quirk" doesn't even matter. In your home, she isn't a "reactive dog"--she's just your dog.
🏠 Ready to end Moira's long wait?
