Forty-five(ish) pounds, floppy ears, and a smile that could melt the coldest of hearts--that's Moe in a nutshell. He looks like a short legged labby type dog, he's housebroken, knows a few commands, loves playing with his dog friends at the shelter, and he's the perfect not-too-big/not-too-small size that everyone wants. So WHY is Moe still here? Maybe it's because he's a little aloof at first. He isn't shy! He seems to like everyone he meets. But, we'll admit, he doesn't offer that magical instant connection that a lot of people crave. But don't let Moe fool you! He is 100% a lap dog at heart. Grab some treats and get down on the floor with him, and you'll quickly see what a sweetheart he really is. Another good way to get to know the real Moe? Take him outside! Moe loves going for walks--even moreso if you have a dog friend to join you! And EXTRA bonus points if you have a kiddie pool AND another dog to play with. Of course, all of these things are just suggestions, not necessities. At the end of the day, the one thing Moe needs more than anything is someone to give him a chance!
