Hi there, I'm Mocha Bean--a 7-year-old Rottweiler-Hound mix with 70 pounds of gentle strength, soulful eyes, and a whole lot of love to give. I'm a true gentle giant with a sweet soul, and I'm more than ready to find a forever home where I can finally settle in and be someone's loyal best friend. 🐾🤎 I'm happy to share that I've completed heartworm treatment and am now heartworm negative, so I'm feeling great and ready to start my next chapter! I'm a well-mannered gentleman who walks nicely on a leash, enjoys peaceful strolls, and loves nothing more than curling up next to my favorite person for some quality cuddle time. 💕<br/><br/>I've been introduced to children around 12 years old and did great with them. I haven't been tested with younger kiddos yet, but with calm, respectful interactions and slow introductions, I may do just fine. I'm especially wonderful with older adults and have a calm, steady nature that makes me an excellent low-key companion. I can be okay with other dogs too, but I do best with slow and patient introductions. Because I came to the shelter as a stray, we can't say that I'm 100% house trained--but I do know how to use a doggie door and clearly prefer to do my business outdoors. When given the choice, I always choose the outside portion of my kennel. With a consistent routine, I'm confident I'll settle right into home life. I'm also a great traveler and do well on car rides, whether it's a quick errand or a longer adventure.
