Mocha's Story

Meet Mocha - tiny survivor, big heart

Mocha is an 8-year-old female Chihuahua who may be small in size, but she has a huge capacity for love. This sweet little 5-lb girl came to us from a hoarding situation and is now learning what it truly means to be part of a family.

Mocha is doing a wonderful job adjusting to home life. She is currently working on her house training and does very well using puppy pads. She is calm, gentle, and happiest when she can be close to her people. While she enjoys relaxing and soaking up affection, she has also shown a fun playful side - especially when fuzzy toys are involved!

She gets along great with other dogs and has shown nothing but kindness toward everyone she meets. She has not yet been fully tested with cats, but she has never shown any aggression toward humans or other dogs. She also did very well when meeting a tiny 3-year-old human, showing just how gentle and adaptable she can be.

Mocha is heartworm negative and is scheduled to be spayed along with a dental on April 22nd to help keep her feeling her best. She does have some minor skin issues but is finishing up a course of steroids and improving nicely. During the day, she relaxes comfortably at home and does not need to be crated, as she is not destructive.

This little lady would thrive in a loving home, whether as an only dog soaking up all the attention or with other canine companions. More than anything, Mocha simply wants to be near her people and finally enjoy the safe, happy life she deserves.

If you are looking for a gentle, devoted companion in a tiny package, Mocha might just be your perfect match.
Fee is 225.00

Tired Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Tired Dog Rescue adoption fee includes all sets of vaccinations, heartworm test, fecal exam, spay/neuter and microchip. We also recommend that you research the breed that you want to adopt. Ask yourself....Can you afford the cost of a high maintenance dog such as a Cocker Spaniel or Shih-tzu etc? The grooming costs are about 50.00 every 6-8 weeks. Are you in a position to adopt a puppy which will require training? Can you afford the medical costs that might be involved in adopting a senior pup? We want every adoption to be for life so please think about what you can and what you are willing to do before considering each pet. If you are unsure please contact us and we can help answer any questions.
