Moby's Story
- NO DOGGIE DOORS

DOB: 2/21/2021
Weight: 14#

Moby was running the streets for a few months before he was able to be caught. He was most likely dumped as no owner ever claimed him.

He required full vetting and is now vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration to the rescue. He was heartworm positive and went through heartworm treatment and is currently on monthly prevention, etc.

Moby is very sweet. But not very confident and is timid with new people and situations which is understandable. He's been let down by people and went through a lot surviving on his own. Once he trusts you, he is a little velcro and you'll get to see his playful side.

He's pretty good on walks and he's great with the other minpins. He does get overwhelmed with too many though and if they try to play too rough with him. He would be great as an only dog or with 1-2. But dog parks/doggie daycare might stress him out. He has some fear aggression in situations where he thinks that he might be attacked. He doesn't readily trust strangers either and so for everyone's safety he wears a muzzle for vet visits. He likes his crate and it's his safe place.

He would make a great companion for a more mature home without small children. Patience is key. His new home will understand that he's been through alot and will allow him to acclimate at his own pace. It'll be worth it. He a sweet, snuggly guy once he feels safe.

If you are interested in adopting, please cut and paste the link below to fill out an adoption application:

https://form.jotform.com/92916416469165

After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.
