She came to STAF after her owner developed dementia, and her owner’s sister—who has been lovingly caring for Mitzi—reached out for help finding her the safe, stable home she deserves. This sweet girl has handled all these changes with so much grace and hope.<br/><br/>Mitzi loves people and enjoys the company of other dogs. She has also been around small children and does well with their gentle attention. She’s a happy, social girl who lights up any room she walks into.<br/><br/>At 6 years old, Mitzi is the perfect balance of calm and cheerful. She’s past the puppy stage but still full of life, tail wags, and enthusiasm. Her favorite things? Pets—all the pets! You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.<br/>• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.<br/>• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.<br/>• We do request vet and personal references.<br/>• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
