He is a big boy with a big loving heart who had a family once upon a time. Unfortunately there were signs of abuse from the man and it was crucial to bring him back into rescue for his own safety. Sadly these things do happen despite our best efforts to place boys like Mitchell in wonderful homes. Mitchell has been back in rescue for several months to help him overcome his fear of men and he is finally at a place where he is ready to find a truly happy and loving home. He is great with other friendly dogs and he is most comfortable with women and kind patient men. A home without small children will be needed simply because he is such a big boy. We do not know how he is with cats. Mitchell is house and kennel trained. He loves going for walks, he does get excited and will pull a bit but not excessively. He loves car rides and going on hikes so he would really love an active family member to go on adventures with. Mitchell is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. He really is a sweet kind gentle soul who has sadly seen the ugly side of someone and now he needs to be shown the side of love that is good, kind, and gentle. He's looking for the good side of love that is real and not an illusion.
