Mitch's Story
Mitch is a 4 year old, 50lb neutered male who has been in the shelter for almost 3 months. He is a regular in our shelter playgroups and can often be found splashing in the kiddie pools and playing tag with his puppy pals, but he hadn’t yet had an opportunity to go offsite- all of that changed recently!
First, he headed to Depot Park for a pack walk, where he wowed everyone with his manners (and kissed several other dogs on the mouth- buy them dinner first, Mitch!), afterwards he hopped in the car to head to a foster home for the night for some TLC.
At his sleepover, he really showed off his farm dog potential, staying cool as a cucumber as he met cats, chickens, pigs, and horses- and naturally he was also sweet and social when playing with the resident dogs.
In the house, he was happy to lay on the couch or floor and chew a bone, (and occasionally get spurts of zoomies!) and would cry and run to the door when he had to go out to potty.
If you think this diamond in the ruff sounds like the guy for you, head on down to ACAR Tues-Sat, 10:30-5:30 and inquire directly at the front desk!
