Misty's Story

Meet Misty!

Misty is ten pounds of pure joy. She is a happy little pup who will bring silliness, love, and boundless enthusiasm into the home of her lucky forever people.

Misty is excited about life. She is excited to wake up, go to bed, leave the house, come home, or toss around a toy. Misty is always excited to see her people, even if they’ve just been out of the room for a minute. She is very well behaved, and her excess joy and energy come out in the cutest little happy dance.

Misty appreciates the finer things in life: rolling around in a fluffy bed, burrowing into cozy blankets, and chomping on a good squeaky toy. She loves going for walks and especially enjoys the tickle of tall grass on her belly - being a low rider has its benefits! She is great in the car, too, and settles in calmly for road trips.

Misty is a well-behaved housemate. She loves being close to her people, naps in the sun, playing with toys, and getting back and belly rubs. She made friends quickly with her big galoot of a foster brother, although sometimes his rambunctious play style makes her nervous. She is happy to share treats and toys with him, too, even though he quickly destroys her toys. Misty also gets along well with her cat foster sister, mostly by ignoring her. Misty is mildly curious and sometimes sniffs the cat, but is very willing to let the cat set boundaries and be the boss.

Misty is working on containing her excitement and nervousness around new sounds, people, and animals. She is working on barking less at people and dogs on walks, and visitors who come to her foster home.

Misty is very excited about other small dogs and would love to have a small friend in her forever home. She might also do well with a calm, friendly larger dog. She is also cat friendly.

Misty has not been around small children.

She is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
