Misty's Story

Meet Misty!

Misty is a 3 month old Lab mix who is small but oh so mighty!

Misty is the runt of her litter but don't let her small frame fool ya. She loves to trot around the house with her chew toys and give you a playful bow and growl to let you know playtime is ready to commence

When she isn't zooming around the house, she loves to snuggled up in your lap, on the couch or quietly in her kennel.

Misty is the first foster I've allowed to "free roam" in my bedroom and she's truly a queen! She typically hangs in her kennel to eat and rest. Then she buries herself in my pillow pile until i get home. She prefers to sleep in bed with me but loves to hangout in her kennel with the door open.

Potty training is going beautifully! She uses her puppy pads consistently and has recently started going potty outside! She does need a quick tinkle and potty break at night but typically jumps off the bed, uses the potty pad and jumps back in bed.

She loves to play with the cat and accepts correction when they're not interested. She is in her dinosaur phase, so she would need to be monitored with younger children.

She's a girls girl, with a heart of gold and a little face that will make your heart melt

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
