Missy - Foster to Adopt's Story
Meet Missy!

She came to the shelter as a stray in very poor condition — emaciated, covered in old scars, and suffering from a skin infection and a cut paw. It was clear she had a rough start and had been on her own for quite some time.

With the help of a dedicated foster home, she was able to recover fully. Proper nutrition, medical treatment, and consistent care allowed her to heal both physically and emotionally. Her skin infection cleared, her paw healed, and she gained back a healthy weight. She’s now a resilient, gentle dog who is ready for a fresh start in a loving home.

Missy is a roughly 1-2 year old bully mix, she is roughly 60lbs and has been dewormed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated with Rabies, Dhpp and Bordetella.
Missy is currently available as a foster to adopt until her spay can be completed, she is finishing a heat cycle and then once she is cleared she can have her surgery completed.

Missy is loving her foster home and would do well with another rambunctious dog to play with at home. Missy loves having her zoomies and playing with all her toys but she can be mischievous. She’s a chatty girl, but only when she knows it’s dinner time or she wants your affection!

She also lives in her foster home with kids around and has tested very well with kids 6+, she can be a bull in a china shop so small kids might be knocked over. She is great with kids and loves meeting new dogs, especially when the other dogs are small! She’s doesn’t mind sharing her toys!
Her motivation is food and she will always show you her tricks happily, even if all at once back-to-back out of excitement! She can sit, lay down, speak & give you either paw!

Missy has not been cat tested.

She walks very nicely on leash, but she does need booties and a jacket for the winter time due to cold weather and thin skin.

From Missy's Foster mom: "A typical day for Missy is staying engaged with her toys, enjoying her walks and watching movies on the couch after long days, although it does take her sometime to find the best spots, of course! She would do amazingly in a high energy home!"

This sweet girl is looking for friends everywhere she goes, wether that is canine or human alike and especially loves playing one-way fetch with her squeaker toys.
