Missy's Story

Meet Missy! Missy came to CCHS as a stray a couple of times in November, and after being reclaimed the first time, her owners decided to not reclaim her when she came in the second time after multiple attempts to contact them. This sweet girl is about 5 years and 4 months old and weighs roughly 46lbs currently. Missy is a total baby! She may have some scars, but we assure you this sweet girl is nothing but smiles and tail wags when it comes to being loved on! We can't guarantee perfection as this big baby as seen some things, but with a gentle hand and a bit of patience we can guarantee undying love and loyalty! Missy has been known to do well with other dogs, but we will require meet and greets on site to make sure the pups approve of each other before making that journey home. We aren't entirely certain what her exact breed makeup is, but we can tell you she is 100% Snuggable House Hippo! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Missy today!

Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can click on "More About Us" to the right and then click on "Adoption Application" button which will take you to our website where you can actually apply. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $100. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS
