Missy's Story

Missy
Estimated DOB: 11/13/25
18 lbs
Rat Terrier Mix
Currently down south – available for foster or adoption

Missy is a bright, spunky little puppy who was found exploring 40 acres of woods behind a family member’s home. Despite her adventurous start, she is incredibly people-oriented, playful, and full of personality. At just a few months old and weighing 18 pounds, she is still very much a baby and learning about the world around her.

Missy is vocal, expressive, and absolutely adorable when she gets the zoomies. She loves to chew, as most puppies do, but she responds well to redirection and especially enjoys having appropriate chew toys. She is still working on house training and does have occasional accidents, which is normal for her age. Consistency and routine will help her continue to improve.

She is reported to do well with other dogs, is good with cats (though she may investigate the litter box if given the opportunity), and has been around children. With proper introductions and guidance, she should continue to adapt well in a variety of family settings.

Missy enjoys being outside in all kinds of weather and is very curious about the world beyond the yard. She is still building confidence on leash and will need continued gentle practice and encouragement. She is crate trained when her family leaves the home, though like many young puppies, she prefers not to be alone for long stretches. She already knows sit, stay, and down, which shows she is eager to learn.

Missy would thrive in a home that understands puppy energy and is committed to structure, training, and ongoing guidance. She will do best with a family that can provide routine, patience, and positive reinforcement as she continues to mature.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.

For more information, visit our website: https://buddyandfriendsma.org

To be considered, an application must be submitted at: https://buddyandfriendsma.org/adopt

MA License Number: 52
