Miss Sissy (in foster)'s Story
Miss Sissy’s Compatibility:
Dogs: Wants to be your one and only
Cats: Not her thing
Kids: Looking for a low-key home with grown-ups

Miss Sissy is the kind of dog who really comes alive once she feels safe and settled. When she is in foster, she gets rave reviews for being housebroken, affectionate, and easy to live with. She enjoys sniffy walks, treat searches, and curling up close at the end of the day, but if you ask her foster, naps are her number one favorite. She is very much a snuggle girl and would be more than happy to claim a spot right beside her person.

She’s also a lovely companion out and about. Miss Sissy rides great in the car, likes to look out the window, and walks nicely on leash. She usually keeps a loose leash unless a squirrel catches her eye, which, honestly, fair. She may be able to coexist with a calm dog who respects her space, but she is not looking for a play buddy. She would be happiest with a peaceful companion who understands that not every dog is here for the social calendar.

The shelter can be a lot for her, so if she seems unsure at first, please don’t count her out. In a calmer setting, her sweet personality really shines. She loves being close to her people and has one very relatable opinion about life: rain is terrible and should be avoided whenever possible.

Miss Sissy is ready for a home where she can feel comfortable, loved, and understood. Come meet her and see just how special this sweet girl really is!
