Sadly, Miso's owner had to move into a nursing home and could no longer care for her, which led her into our rescue program. This wasn't because of any fault of hers—it was a difficult decision made with love.<br/><br/>Miso is truly unique! If we had to describe her personality in one word, it would be "feline." She is quiet, polite, and very well-mannered, with a calm energy that makes her perfect for indoor life. Like many of us, she can be a bit shy when meeting new people for the first time. She likes to take a moment to assess the situation before jumping in. However, once she decides you are "her human" and the bond is made, the shyness melts away completely. She will show you her ultimate trust: her belly! She loves belly rubs more than anything and will happily roll over for attention once you're family.<br/><br/>Miso gets along very well with other dogs; given her cat-like nature, she also gets along with cats and is respectful of them. She's also gentle enough to be around kids. Miso is a polite indoor companion. Her house-training is excellent, and she knows how to use the bathroom both inside and outside, making her very adaptable to different home environments.<br/><br/>Miso is a sensitive and loving soul. She is looking for a home that understands that trust is built over time, especially during her initial adjustment period. A family that is patient and affectionate will find the ultimate reward in seeing this smiling, belly-rub-loving girl bloom.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: • US residents only • 24 years of age (drivers license or passport required as a form of ID) • All children are age 6 or older • No restrictions on pets by landlord (must receive written consent) • Provide photos of your home, including bedroom • Financially willing and able to properly care for dog for remainder of its life • Must create separate IG account for adopted dog - to provide updates ADOPTION PROCESS (1-2 weeks): • Fill out the adoption application below with a specific dog(s) you wish to adopt from @KpupsForLove • Adoption screening interview via phone call with our team ONLY IF your application reflects our criteria • Reference checks • After screening steps, you will be notified ONLY IF your adoption application is approved • Our volunteers will work with you to finalize the adoption - sharing your new dog’s medical records, scheduling a date of your dog’s arrival, and sending detailed pick-up instructions.
