She's a Shih-Tzu who is 10 weeks old and around 3½ lbs. for now! Miranda is a "let's get this party started" kinda girl, and she loves to be where her people are! Her favorite toys to play with are squeaky ones, and she enjoys chewing on her puppy nylabone! She loves to be held, then will scamper off to chase a toy and bring it back. Miranda adores her fluffy puppy bed and will dive into it and roll around on her back! She's one of the cutest little girls we've ever seen! Miranda is a smarty; she's starting to learn about potty training and crate training, and doing well so far! She needs a home where someone is home more often than not, a work-from-home or stay-at-home parent would be ideal. Her best fit family would be experienced with tiny dogs, and watchful for their safety from predator animals when outside. They will also be a moderately active adult family, or one with respectful kids 12 and up due to Miranda's tiny size. PLEASE NOTE: Miranda requires a trip to the groomer every 8-10 weeks, and regular brushing to keep her skin and coat healthy! Miranda is learning about the sights and sounds in her foster home, and she's excited to find a family of her very own! Adoption preference will be given to families who plan to attend positive reinforcement manners classes with their new pup! A certificate will be provided by the Rescue upon request toward spay/neuter at 6 months of age, redeemable at Doctor Paws Veterinary Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI.

(*) Our adoption screening process consists of our adoption application, veterinary history checks, home visit with yard/fence check and a phone interview, where we can also answer any questions you may have about our dogs or the rescue.
