Mira's Story

Meet Sadie, your little homefront hero. 🇺🇸🐾

Sadie is a 1.5-year-old hound mix (38 lbs) who’s the total package—spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready to love her person with her whole heart. She had a home for six months, but when her adopters were deployed overseas, she found herself back with us through no fault of her own.

Now she’s looking for someone new to be her hero. 💙

Sadie is a happy, active girl who loves spending time in the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and playing with her dog friends. She does great with other dogs (though her play style can be a little rough for smaller pups), and she’s also good with cats and kids. She appears to be both crate trained and housebroken—an easy addition to your home!

What she really wants is stability, love, and a place to call hers again. She’s already proven she can be a wonderful companion—she just needs someone willing to step up and give her that second chance.

If you’ve got a yard, a heart for a good dog, and a little extra love to give, Sadie is ready to be your loyal sidekick.

Be her hero—just like the ones who had to say goodbye. 🐶✨

MORE INFO:
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, or scheduled to be if they arrived in our care too young. Each dog has been seen by our veterinarian and treated for likely the following (all various): Age appropriate vaccines, overall health exam and other alignments as they come up. All dogs are dewormed, given core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP (3 of them if a puppy) and Rabies as well as all are microchipped and on a monthly preventative for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

All of our animals are placed into foster homes so they thrive and the transition is easier.

If interested in learning more or meeting this pup, please fill out our adoption application.
The application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/JHRA/Dog
